Where are you located, and do you travel?

I am currently based in Hysham, MT.  Travel within 50 miles one way or 100 miles round trip is included in all of my portrait sessions, and I do travel all over the US at a rate of $0.75/mile.  I am able to waive my travel fees if I have four or more sessions booked in one location, or if you are able to schedule your session during one of my regularly planned trips to your area- check my schedule page to see where I'll be this year!  I also offer an annual MT Tour where I travel all over Montana with ZERO travel fees!  During my MT Tour, I take a large number of clients in a short period of time all over Montana.  MT Tour dates are posted on my schedule page as soon as they are on the books.  

How do I book a session?

I currently book all sessions personally, and do not have an online booking system.  Please contact me and let me know where you're located, what type of session you're interested in, and any date requests you have.  I'm typically booked a minimum of 2 weeks out, but I can often squeeze in a short notice session.  Once your date is chosen, 50% of your session fee needs to be paid as a retainer to secure your time slot.  All dates and times are advertised as available until the retainer has been paid.  The remaining 50% of your session fee is due at the time of your session.

When do I get to see my photos?

I try to post a sneak peek of your photos to my Facebook business page (www.facebook.com/mtchicphotography) within a couple of days of your session, so you see a few images from your session right away.  All sessions are booked on a 30 day  contract, meaning that your gallery will be completely finished within 30 business days unless other arrangements are made.  If you need your gallery completed sooner than that, I can work on a rush contract.  

What is "print credit"?

I believe that my clients deserve the best, and so I have searched the US for the top print labs to have all of my print product professionally produced by the best in the industry.  I want to make certain that you have the best product possible at reasonable prices, and I guarantee the quality of my print product.  Since I also believe that you should get exactly what you want, I offer print credit rather than dictating exactly what product comes with a session.  Print credit is, in short, a coupon for you to spend on photos from your session.  Your print credit will come in the form of a coupon that can be used to purchase prints, wall art, and more from your gallery, so you can get exactly what you want, and be confident that it is the best quality possible. 

I competed in an event this year. Where do I find the photos?

All of my events will be listed on my "Schedule" page.  As soon as the event is finished, I will list a link to an online gallery in the description of the event on the "Schedule" page.  You can follow the link to view and order images from the events you competed in.  

How do I order prints?

Your images are delivered in an online gallery, which is emailed to you after your session.  You can place your print and wall art orders directly from in your online galleries.  If you don't see a product you'd like to order (albums, cards, calendars, etc.) please contact me!  I work through two of the nation's top print labs, and am able to offer several thousand products.  This means I am not able to list every item I carry, but that I can usually get products in on request, and I'm always happy to do so!

How long are galleries visible?

All portrait galleries will be visible for 90 days after the date of the session, and event galleries are published for 30 days unless otherwise noted.  This means that you have 30 or 90 days to view and order photos from your session or event.  Orders placed outside of the 30 or 90 day period will be subject to an archival fee.  When you log into your gallery, it requires you to input your email- this automatically signs you up for expiration notices for the gallery, so you never miss an archival deadline.

Will the watermark appear on purchased or printed photos?

Watermarks do not appear on purchased prints or full resolution image downloads.  The watermark protects both my business and my clients from image theft, which helps me maintain my clients' privacy as well as protecting my copyright to the image.  For this reason, all of your proofs and social media ready photos will have a watermark, but your prints and purchased digitals (for personal or commercial use) will not. 

Can I share my photos on Facebook?

 Social media ready photos come complimentary with most portrait session packages, or may be purchased individually from event galleries.  Social media ready images are optimized for online use only, and are not released for printing.  Social media ready images do come with a small, unobtrusive watermark.  They are designed to be shared on any social media platform, as long as they are not altered (no filters!).  You also have the option to share an image direct from the gallery to your timeline.  This will link it to the gallery, but allows you to share an image onto social media at no charge.

Do you offer equine or livestock sale photos?

Yes!  I offer sale photos on a flat hourly rate.  If you are interested in a sale session, please contact me to get a customized quote.
